This little guy loves life and is so full of joy. Chase loves to give you kisses and lay on your lap on his back with his adorable big ears splayed out. He is very enthusiastic about food and bounces up and down for it. Chase loves playing with toys of all kinds. He can be a little possessive about toys and food but is happy to trade for a treat. Chase is crate trained although he doesn’t like to be in it for long periods of time. He gets so excited when he comes out of his crate he always has to find a toy to grab and carry outside. He is very affectionate and loving but is a little nervous with new people. He’s got that big dog energy and likes to guard his house so he doesn’t do well with new people just walking in the door, he likes to be introduced on leash outside first. He doesn’t appreciate extended petting from new people- consent checks are a must! He can be a little handling sensitive so shouldn’t be around children. He is uncomfortable in veterinary situations so he needs someone who is able to continue working with him on that. He might do well with a furry sibling but slow intros are needed. We don’t know how he is around cats. Chase has had a hard life and needs someone who can provide him with the life he deserves, with structure, advocacy, safety, and unconditional love.
