Miss Timber is an adorable, sweet and snuggly 9 year old smooth hair piebald female dachshund. She loves to snuggle with her human and a blanket, especially through the long winter nights. Timber has had prior back surgery that left her with a bit of a gimpy walk but she doesn’t let it slow her down one bit. Timber likes to take life at a run, not a walk, and loves to run from one thing to another.
She loves to explore outside when the weather is nice and gets very excited when she sees a rabbit or squirrel. Timber needs to be the only dog in the house, she is possessive of her human and does not want to share. Timber shows her displeasure by growling, her growling needs to be taken seriously because she will bite. Absolutely NO SMALL CHILDREN and she will do best with someone that is home most of the time.
Like most dachshunds Timber does not like to go out in the cold or rain and will take every chance to potty in the house. She does tell you when she needs to go out. Timber has been on medication for arthritis that keeps her comfortable and will need to be continued throughout her life and please, no crates.
